The 4 Stages

Caught up with An-Nur earlier today.
It was a nice ending to the start of the week la. Discussing stuff..
But something struck me.

When it comes to loving, there's 4 distinctive stages.

The first, is the falling in love.
That's when everything is perfect. You're perfect for her, and she's perfect for you.
There's nothing in the world that can separate you.
That's when bitter is sweet, and sweet is sweeter.

Then comes, the tolerating.
This is when you've spent so much time together, cracks begin to appear.
That's when you learn of habits, and 'norms'.
That's when you start to dislike certain things, and love other things.
If you're strong enough as a couple, then overcoming this barrier would mean many more joyous times as lovers.
Tolerance strengthens love.
Many couples fail at this stage.

3rdly is the understanding.
This is the point of bliss.
This is when your actions, are guided by the feelings of your partner.
This is when you start to think about the partner more than yourself. You become selfless.
Usually the 2nd and 3rd stage overlap, and there's often little or no clear boundary between the two.
But the most obvious sign, is when you do it sincerely, and you feel that it's reciprocated.
Some couples fail at this stage. But usually it is after many many years.

4th stage, is the end.
At this stage, there's a sudden loss of the partner, either by death, or breakups.
That's when you feel lonely, or hurt, or regretful even.
This is the point when you feel at a loss, that you tell yourself, "You won't miss a person until it's gone."
This is a personally crucial point, cos it can make you a stronger person, or it can turn you into a weak and desperate being.

Personally, I feel that this cycle goes on and on. It is usually that people linger at the end, and that's where the idea of "the Rebound" comes along. No one likes being the rebound. It hurts.

Oh my my my

My Condolences go out to the family, and close friends of Sheng, and Clara.

They were great friends, and reasons behind their sudden passing still remain an uncomfortable truth to be told.
Some say suicide, others say murder. But I think it's an accident.

Nonetheless, they will be missed.

Rest well, my friends, in peace.
