What a great way
What a great way
I was all happy and psyched up to go to Dubai for a couple of months since December.
Made it thru 2 very challenging interviews, and even received the confirmation.
Here's what I received today via email..
Greetings from Raffles Dubai.
I hope you had a couple of relaxing days off.
I wanted to take this opportunity to inform you that unfortunately we are no longer going to be able to go ahead with taking the students for work experience.
Due to the current economic situation which has now started to affect the Middle East and Dubai we are now in a situation where we have to look at ways in which to best operate our business and reduce expenses. Sadly this has a knock on effect for the students and as a result we are no longer able to take them.
Please accept my sincere apologies. We would have loved to have the students in Raffles Dubai and give them some valuable work exposure and experience. I hope that you and the students understand our current situation.
We are happy to accommodate students from your School of Hospitality once the economic situation has calmed down.
I do apologise for the sudden notice and thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
